Ecuador: discrepancies in gas price contributes to large smuggling to Colombia, Peru

The operation launched by the government on Monday to curb the shortage of gas , was insufficient. Hundreds of Quito had to wait four hours for a cylinder. The paradox: on the northern and southern borders of the country is still leaking daily by thousands of tanks, although the operations of the police and oil officials who fail to remove the major incentive for smuggling: the huge price differences.
