Ecuador, digital tv being studied

The Ecuadorian government is studying the implications of moving from analog to Japanese/Brazilian digital technology, a process that will take about 10 years, Superintendent of Telecommunications Fabian Jaramillo said. The details depend on a report to be provided on Friday by a commission on system analysis to the National Telecommunications Council, and the master plan finally approved will define exactly when Ecuador will turn off analog TV.
