Ecuador-Colombia border: Ecuadorian troops repel rebel attack
Military Quito/Andes.- Ecuadorians were ambushed late on Monday in the province of Sucumbios (border with Colombia), presumably by Colombian irregular groups, said a military statement released by the Ministry of Defence.

According to the ministry of state, soldiers from the “General Farfan” were attacked both the Ecuadorian and the Colombian side, back from the installation of controls and checkpoints night on the river San Miguel River.

The soldiers managed to repel the ambush shooting in both sectors and holding his arms crossfire using endowment. There were no casualties or injuries. Read Article
