Ecuador: Appeal denied for policemen charged in attempted coup

On Wednesday, an Ecuadorian Criminal Court denied an appeal made by four policemen who were charged for their involvement in an attempted coup against President Rafael Correa on September 30, 2009. The policemen received sentences of 12 years in prison for attempted murder, after shooting at the President’s car during the violence. Read Article
