The Naval Oceanographic Institute reports to the Community on 20, 21 and March 22 will present a strong currents and riptides on the mainland coast and islands of the country.
This event has the distinction of being a Aguaje Maximus, which occurs when a surge coincides (new moon or full moon) with the Perigee of the Moon (When the Moon is closest to the Earth in its elliptical orbit) . The maximum water holes produce the tide rises and falls more than usual, which could cause concern in the coastal community, especially given the recent earthquake in Japan. It is important to remember that the water sources have no relation to seismic events, as requested to maintain calm during the occurrence of this event. Read Article
