Ecuador: 9,000 rounds of ammunition believed destined for criminal groups in Colombia seized

The Armed Forces of Ecuador seized about 9,000 rounds 5.56 from Peru and apparently were intended for Colombia’s illegal groups, military spokesmen said Wednesday. Part of ammunition found on Tuesday in a raid on the seaside town of Huaquillas (southwest and bordering Peru), were within drums, told reporters the officer Marcelo Montalvo, a member of an Army brigade in the province of El Oro (Machala equity).
