Ecuador: 31 financial institutions sanctioned for not following cell phone regulations or prohibitions in banks

Thirty-one institutions of the financial system that did not meet the installation of cellular inhibitors within the time period penalties received by the Superintendency of Banks and Insurance (SBS), said Ligia Cobo Quartermaster General of this entity. According to Article 38 of the Order of the Superintendency of Banks and Insurance and the Banking Board, financial institutions should establish procedures and standards to regulate or prohibit the use of cell phones and any other communication mechanism from inside their facilities.
