Durango, Mexico: Extradition Sought for Human Trafficking Suspect

On August 9, 2013 El Siglo Noticias reported that the Durango State Attorney General, Sonia Yadira de la Garza Fragoso, reported that she has obtained an arrest warrant for a suspect accused of human trafficking. As the suspect is currently residing in another country, an extradition request has also been submitted. The suspect’s victim was an adult female who had been lured into coming to Durango from abroad. Authorities believe the type of work to which the victim was subjected could be construed as exploitative in nature. Read Article
