Drugs are not the only item illegally trafficked from Ecuador

ILLEGAL WILDLIFE TRAFFICKING

Animals along with orchids and bromeliads are under continual risk of being trafficked illegally out of Ecuador.

Reptiles account for 45% of the trafficking, while birds equal about 25% of illegal exports.

Authorities reveal that most of the animals destinations are Europe, Japan, and China.

So far in 2014 1,235 species have been seized by authorities. Read Article
