Dengue Outbreak in Brazil: Three Dead, Eight More Suspected Cases

On February 1, 2013, Campo Grande News reported that the Health Department of Mato Grosso do Sul has confirmed three deaths from dengue fever, as well as eight more suspected cases.  The victims were located in various parts of the capital, Campo Grande, as well as the town of Aquidauana.  This year the illness has affected some 19,000 people in the state.  The state continues to investigate the other cases, in which the patients have already died as well.  Read Article
