Cuyabeno Lodge Ecuador – a trip into the jungle

Upon arriving at the meeting point at Cuyabeno we were greeted by our wonderful guide Dario and an Amazonian thunderstorm, so we togged up in waterproof ponchos to make the two hour journey by motorized canoe to the lodge where Judy and I installed ourselves in the top floor room of the observation tower, which offers spectacular views of the tree canopy.
