Cuenca Ecuador: New Tourism Development Plan

eltiempo.com.ec REPORTED a new strategic plan for tourism development was presented by the Municipal Foundation of Tourism for Cuenca, whose implementation is planned over a period of five years, ie until 2021. Matthew Estrella, director of the Strategic Plan, said the ultimate goal of the plan, which took more than six months to develop, is projected to Cuenca as a destination that attracts high traffic investments and other economic movements worldwide.

“The plan includes five strategies, 33 programs, 70 projects and 309 activities to be implemented immediately and for the duration.” He stressed that with the participation of tourism stakeholders, both public and private sector.
