Cuenca Ecuador: Gay expat victim of poisoning, robbery at his residence

There is limited details to the event and LACE is attempting to obtain more information. The name of the victim’s home country also is not mentioned in order to protect his identity.

On or about June 25th, 2017. An expat who is gay became a victim of a poisoning attack and robbery at his residence in a rural neighborhood of Cuenca, Ecuador. The expat who is known to assist many immigrants to the Cuenca area find employment.

The reasons why the Colombian national was at the victim’s home is not known. Evidently, he drugged the beverage of the expat with an unknown substance, and then robbed him. The victim required hospitalization. He is now out of the hospital but still suffering physical effects. The expat is described by another expat as extremely friendly to others and willing to assist anyone in need.
