Cuenca Ecuador: Band of thieves named “the messengers” dealt blow

The National Police of Ecuador, through staff Intervention and Rescue Group (GIR) and in coordination with the Judicial Police and Prosecution of Azuay province, in the final hours to the arrest of several people who allegedly belonged to a criminal gang, who committed their robberies masquerading as messengers to select the homes that were later assaulted.

With reports by citizens to the Citizen Service Center, police were alerted that a group of people were acting suspiciously in the area Monay, Popayán street, between Havana and the OAS. One suspect in collusion with other persons had admitted forcing the assurances of a property. Read Article
