Cuba, high alert for dengue causing mosquito, September – October worse months

Epidemiological surveillance in Cuba is on “high alert” in August after an increase in the Aedes aegypti mosquito that transmits dengue, on Thursday told the local press a Public Health Officer. Although recent figures are not known infestation of dengue, doctors and nurses walk neighborhoods every day, thermometer in hand, to identify residents with possible symptoms of the disease.
