Cotopaxi, Ecuador: 15 cases of sexual abuse reported

In the province there have been 15 cases of sexual abuse of minors in the provincial prosecution, of which 10 are treated at the Nintinacazo type C Health Center in Cotopaxi. (latacunga)

Jorge Rosero, Psychologist from the Latacunga Health District, said that since the beginning of the year to date there have been 10 cases of possible sexual abuse for which the route of care for victims of violence has begun and are in the therapeutic process.

The cases are children 6 to 12 years of age, and there are two cases of 16-year-olds who are in the judicial process, most of whom are harassed by relatives as well as in educational units. Read Article
