Cotoca, Bolivia: 2 Child Sex Trafficking Victims Rescued, Suspects Arrested

On July 19, 2013 El Mundo Noticias reported that authorities have arrested two suspects accused of kidnapping two girls, 13 and 9 years old respectively, for sexual and labor exploitation. The subjects arrested were identified as Alfredo Mendoza and José Lino Vargas.

According to the 13-year-old girl, Mendoza was the one who abducted her by offering her candy and money. Mendoza then proceeded to drug her and force her to perform sex with five of his friends. The girl was also forced to sell cigarettes and to bring her 9-year-old friend to perform the same activities. Read Article
