Costa Rica steps up strugle against drug trafficking by targetning money laundering

The great “quantum leap” in the fight against drug trafficking and organized crime in Central America must be the money laundering investigation rather than the use of force against members of criminal gangs, said today Costa Rican authorities.

Security Vice Minister Costa Rica , Celso Gamboa said in a press conference with foreign correspondents that his country seeks to “internationalize” the strategy of “intelligence rather than force”, for which maintains constant contact with the security forces Central American isthmus.
