Costa Rica: Six foreign women rescued from sexual exploitation operation

Authorities in Costa Rica announced today that six foreign women rescued victims of trafficking for sexual exploitation in the tourism province of Guanacaste, on the Pacific country. The Department of Immigration said in a statement that women are rescued Friday Nicaraguan and Dominican, without specifying details for their protection, who were forced to work at a nightclub near the tourist resort of Playa Tamarindo. Authorities arrested a Nicaraguan woman nationalized Rican surname Gonzalez Espinoza, as the main suspect of leading a gang of human trafficking and who was denounced as confidential. “The woman apparently had six women held between Nicaraguans and Dominicans, which took away their passports, money and other identification documents,” said Migration in the statement…….
