Construction Begins On New Hydroelectric Plant in Costa Rica

Enel Green Power has begun construction on a new hydroelectric plant in Costa Rica, between the provinces of Alajuela and San Jose.
The new plant, named Chucas, will have an installed capacity of 50 MW, and once fully up and running, will generate around 219 million Kwh/year, equal to the annual consumption of over 81.000 households and avoiding the emission of over 150.000 metric tons of CO2 into the atmosphere each year.
