Consolation caravan plans march this September

Mexican poet Javier Sicilia, head of the victims movement against violence in Mexico, stated that in September the Consolation caravan will march from the south to the center of Mexico according to EFE. Sicilia gave up poetry in April after the murder of his son, and has since organized activist movements throughout Mexico. His influence over the fight against violence was shown after a meeting with president Felipe Calderon and fellow victims of organized crime. Read article.
