Colombian President Santos’ Facebook Hacked by Anonymous

•Yesterday, Colombian Independence Day, the group Anonymous hacked President Santos’s Facebook account and posted a video called “La Falsa Independencia” (The False Independence) against the celebration of Independence Day.
•According to Spanish.peopledaily.com.cn, the video stated that in the face of issues such as violence, unemployment, and uneven distribution of wealth, independence could not be celebrated.
•Santos denied any connection to this post stating that his account had been hacked.
•The group has also hacked the Ministry of Defense’s site and published a database from the National Police explaining how it was able to hack into the system.
•Former President Uribe’s Twitter account has also been previously hacked to which he responded that criminals have hacked his account.
•Various accounts linked to the group Anonymous have been deleted by Facebook. Read Article
