Colombian House of Representatives Passes Law on Intelligence Operations
• Rcnradio.com reports that the House has passed the Law of Intelligence and Counter-intelligence.
• The law seeks to punish the illegal surrender of information and to stop interception of calls.
• Another purpose is to protect the identity of members of law enforcement working secret missions.
• Iván Cepeda of the Democratic Pole commented that the law does not end criminal action within intelligence organizations citing the criminal action of the DAS.
• The law also seeks to reduce the waiting period for the disclosure of classified documents. Read Article
