Colombian GDP Expected to Grow

• Per report by portafolio.co , José Darío Uribe, director of the Bank of the Republic, estimated that Colombia’s GDP will grow 5% in 2011 mainly due to the sale of houses.
• In the last trimester of 2010, the GDP grew 4.5% due to housing sales.
• He expects that the growth will continue for the rise in sales of goods such as cars.
• The rate of inflation also is expected to rise close to 3%.
• Uribe states that this rate is lower than the expected 3.4%.
