Colombia, Walid Makled Announces Chavez’s Connection to Narco-traffickers

As Makled was handed over today to Venezuela by Colombian forces. Elespectador.com reported that he left behind a recording stating that he had proof, including video, of the involvement of Chavez and other Venezuelan officials. He expressed willingness to present this proof before the International Criminal Court. Makled professes that there is a route used for trafficking narcotics with connections to FARC which could not exist without government and military involvement. He was handed over after Venezuela guaranteed him due process and the respect of human rights which the Viceminister of Prevention and Citizen Security, Nestor Reverol, promised. Read
