Colombia: Unexplained Duplicate withdrawals from BanColombia ATM machines

gringos.com Colombia Forum – expat15 stated “BanColombia took $954.00 dollars today which was half of the Provisional Credit which I had just received about four hours earlier. I suspect they would have taken the other half tomorrow if I hadn’t moved it to my brokerage account. They have been sweeping my account every day since Jan. 3rd for a total of 9,000,000 peso’s to date. My original “authorized” withdrawal was 3,000,000 peso’s on Jan 3rd. – but they continue to withdraw 3,000,000 per day. Note: The original 3,000,000 withdrawal is identified as a “ATM” withdrawal, but all the “Unauthorized” withdrawals indicate a “Visa” withdrawal on the Charles Swab statement/balance sheet.”

It could be more than just a BanColombia issue…..my problem occurred Dec30th and 31st with both bank ATM’s. and to see some of you still experiencing the same issue Jan 3 and 4th. It could be a major South America or Colombia Visa issue.
