Colombia, New System Allows Taxi Passengers to Pay By Card

•In June, there are to be 1,000 taxis in the Eldorado airport in Colombia with the new apparatus allowing passengers to pay cab fare by credit card or debit card as reported by portafolio.co.
•Credibanco, Taxis Libres, and Colpatria are carrying out this operation in preparation for the FIFA U-20 World Cup soon to be held.
•Although there are worries about card cloning and paseo millonarios that may occur because of the new system, every taxi with the system will have a locational satellite program, and the drivers will be chosen from the oldest and most trusted employees. Read Article
