Colombia suspends imports of beef from Paraguay due to hoof mouth disease

The Colombian government ordered suspended for six months on imports of livestock, meat and other products with risk of transmission of FMD from Paraguay.After the outbreak that occurred in the department of San Pedro in that country, the measure seeks to protect animal health and maintain its status today credited Colombia as FMD free, said Teresita Beltran Ospina, General Manager of ICA .
