Colombia, Peru, Bolivia take steps in determining amounts of cocaine production

Peru, Colombia and Bolivia seek to establish a system to measure the same criteria as the production of coca leaf, informed the president of the Peruvian anti-drug office, Carmen Masias.

The decision, which includes the formation of teams in the three countries, was taken after the last two years to discrepancies about the amount of coca, the raw material of cocaine, existing in Peru and Colombia, said the head of the Peruvian National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs (Devida). Analysts and local media warned that Peru has matched these crops in Colombia and is also very close to passing the first in the production of cocaine. Read Article
