Colombia Introduces Currency with Braille for Blind Citizens

•To aid blind citizens, Colombian currency now has 10,000 and 20,000 peso notes with Braille indicating the denomination of the notes in circulation per Radio Caracol.
•Previously there have been devices to aid blind citizens tell the denomination of the bills, but the Braille system serves to even further help vision impaired individuals.
•Circulation began in Bogotá and within the month, the Bank of the Republic will begin to circulate nationally.
•All denominations except the 1,000 peso bill have Braille numbers. Read Article
