Colombia, Greatest Increase in Agriculture in 11 Years

•Colombia’s agriculture sector has increased 7.8%, which is the highest increase in 11 years despite the harsh conditions of winter.
•Ricardo Sánchez, minister of Agriculture, attributed the increase to President Santos’ policies according to Caracol Radio.
•In relation to international prices, transitional crops have increased by 9.4% and permanent crops by 4.8%.
•The winter did affect other sectors such as the cacao and poultry sector.
