Colombia: fifteen injured in explosion at police station, FARC believed to be responsible

A uniformed and fourteen civilians were injured in a minor by shrapnel from an explosive device that FARC guerrillas fired at the police station in the municipality of Suarez, Cauca department, regional authorities said Monday. At least fifteen houses and the building of the Police were damaged in the attack, which occurred on Sunday night, said the police commander of Cauca, Colonel Ricardo Alarcon. The official told reporters in Popayan, the capital of Cauca, the insurgents used a truck loaded with bananas to transport the artifacts and make the attack. An auxiliary police is among the people who were injured, those who do not record severity and were treated at the local hospital. Read Article
