Colombia, Costa Rica to install network of radars to fight crime

The presidents of Costa Rica, Laura Chinchilla, and Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, agreed to install a radar network in the Pacific to combat organized crime, including joint security initiatives discussed at the bilateral summit June 15 in the Costa Rican capital.
In high school foreign ministers, Colombia and Costa Rica reiterated its interest in joint action with illegal fishing and shark finning and the establishment of a maritime safety system in the Pacific coast, with the installation of a network of 13 radars to control illegal fishing and drug trafficking, weapons and people.
