Colombia, 23 Policemen Captured for Involvement in Narcotics Scandals

•According to eltiempo.com, 15 officers of the Policía Nacional of Colombia have been captured in areas such as Bogotá, Cali, and San Andrés and are believed to have links with a narcotics trafficking network.
•These officers allowed shipments of narcotics to pass in speedboats headed to Central America, and have been identified to have been aiding criminal groups such as “Los Rastrojos.”
•8 members of the National Police were arrested for stealing a shipment of coca belonging to the deceased alias “Cuchillo,” former leader of Erpac.
•Also, 4 member of the CTI, 2 members of the National Police, and 3 other individuals were arrested for having performed a raid on property in north Bogotá with a false search warrant. Read Article
