Chile: Presidential, political elections slated for Nov. 17, 2013, travel advice

gov.uk reported that Presidential, parliamentary and regional councillor elections will take place on 17 November. Large crowds are likely at more than 2,000 polling stations all over the country and public transport may also be crowded. Shopping malls and cinemas will be closed. The sale of alcohol is prohibited by law between 5am and 8pm on polling day. During the evening large crowds may gather in public squares and open areas to celebrate the victory of the winning candidates.
