Chile, French tourist dies at the geysers de Atacama

On April 8, 2010, a 61 year-old French tourist visiting the geysers near San Pedro de Atacama in Chile collapsed and died of apparent cardiac arrest. The victims name is listed as Alan Francoise B. Emergency crews were not able to reach the victim in time to render service. The are is located at 4,000 meters elevation. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death. Lasegunda.com reported that there have been four other deaths reported at the geysers in the last fourteen years as a result of burns from falling in the geysers. Read Article
