The Chamber of Commerce of Quito (CCQ) said on Tuesday, fearing a visit to Ecuador on Thursday, Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad threatening trade relations between his country and the United States or the European Union (EU). “Without a doubt, having a close, close ties with Iran, we could disrupt the main export market for Ecuador,” which is the United States, stressed the president of the CCQ, Blasco Penaherrera, in a press conference. Iran maintains a pulse with the international community for the development of its nuclear program, which Tehran maintains that it is for civilian use, while the United States and the EU fear is to create nuclear weapons.
