CENTRAL AMERICA, despite relative peace, burdened by poverty and violence of organized crime gangs

The Central American countries that experienced civil wars in the last decades of last century now live in relative peace and democracy, but burdened by poverty and violence of organized crime and gangs. The next day 16 El Salvador commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the Peace Accords that ended the civil war and Guatemala held on 29 December, the 15 years of their peace agreements. Both processes, and who lived Nicaragua, all effects in Honduras and Costa Rica, were generated by different political and diplomatic efforts, but had their decisive boost the Esquipulas II, the 25th anniversary in 2012.
