Capture of 26 Narcotics Traffickers of Mi Sangre

•26 narcotics traffickers in the services of Henry de Jesús López Londoño alias Mi Sangre have been captured.
•The captures were part of Operación Tormenta (Operation Storm) which the Colombian Police performed with the DEA.
•According to El Tiempo, one of the traffickers, Sanmartín Giraldo, was responsible for transporting cocaine in commercial airplanes from such airports as Eldorado in Bogotá and Ernesto Cortizos in Barranquilla. He is extraditable.
•He achieved this with the help of another trafficker, Marcos Alemán Saldaña who worked in the airport terminals and after 19 years transported between 700 and 2,000 kilos of cocaine to Central and North America.
•There is not yet a capture order for Mi Sangre as more evidence is necessary.
•According to Óscar Naranjo, director of the National Police, Mi Sangre has established a mafia structure with connections in Honduras, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Panamá. Read Article
