Buenos Aires commissions to eliminate human trafficking

A government committee met in Buenos Aires yesterday to present the Provincial Commission for the Prevention and Eradication of Human Trafficking, according to lavozdetandil.com. The main objective of the new Commission is that Buenos Aires government will make it their priority to persecute networks in the province that traffic and sexually exploit men, women and children. Minister of Justice and Provincial Security, Ricardo Casal, led the meeting instead of Buenos Aires Governor Daniel Scioli who was unable to travel from the Federal Capital because of volcanic ash. Casal spoke about modern day slavery and how people are being abducted and subjected to live a life of forced prostitution. The committee charged with carrying out the Commission will create and implement legislation to reach their goal of eliminating human trafficking in Latin America.
