Buenos Aires, Argentina: Textile Mill Owner Arrested for Labor Trafficking

On August 8, 2013 26 Noticias reported the arrest of a textile mill owner on charges of labor trafficking. The suspect, a Bolivian male, was arrested after the Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) reported four children and six adults were working illegally at the textile mill. The agency also found that employees were forced to work long hours and received wages below what is mandated by law for the textile industry. Read Article
