Buenos Aires, Argentina: Police Dismantle Sex Trafficking Operation, Rescue 8 Victims

On August 5, 2013 Noticias Gendu reported that police in Buenos Aires have conducted three simultaneous raids on a suspected sex trafficking gang. As a result of the raids, police effectively dismantled the gang and rescued eight female victims.

One of the places raided was a 24 hour brothel located in the Liniers neighborhood. There the troops detained three men, including a suspect who ran the business, and two lieutenants who provided security and forced the victims into prostitution. Police also seized from the brothel cash, annotated notebooks and brochures offering sexual services. Read Article
