Brazil: Manufacturing contraction projection for 2012 at 0.6 percent

Industrialists warned that the recovery in 2013 will depend on the stimulus to the economy launched by the government to take effect, and that the government is endeavoring to take steps to help reduce production costs and increase productivity. Set for a recovery next year and expects growth of 4.1%, after the “lost year” of 2012, which closed with an estimated contraction of 0.6% of its activity, official projections show the sector.
