Brazil expects inflation to register 5.24 percent for 2012

Brazilian inflation as measured by the Consumer Price Index (IPCA), ending 2012 at 5.24 percent, according to market experts forecast released today by the Financial Focus newsletter. The weekly publication of the Central Bank states that this percentage is higher than 5.20 percent of the HICP for this year, last Monday predicted by economists over a hundred organizations working in the domestic financial market. This is the ninth straight week that analysts increase its estimate for inflation for 2012. The new forecast is farther from the goal average of 4.5 percent, set by the Central Bank. Read Article
