Brazil doubles production of medicine for “Chagas Disease”

Brazil will double its production of benznidazole, a drug against Chagas disease, and plans to deliver aid agencies tablets 3.425 million until the end of the year, announced Health Minister Alexandre Padilha. Medications will see patients from Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Paraguay, Venezuela and Uruguay, according to the Brazilian government official, the only country in the world producing the benznidazole.
