Brasilia, Brazil: U.S. Denies Publicly Speaking About Spying on Brazilian Citizens

agenciabrasil.ebc.com.br reported that the United States refused to publicly explain to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Brazil the current issue of spying on Brazilian citizens by the NSA. The meeting today at the U.S. Embassy in Brasilia stated the U.S. is waiting on orders from the State Department in Washington on how to properly respond. Brazilian Foreign Minister Patriota claims the Brazilian government will work with the standards and guidelines of the United Nations on the issue of privacy of communications and sovereignty of other countries.
