Bolivia, Uruguay offers support for coca chewing

Uruguay Bolivia supported with respect to an amendment to the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs, which criminalize the chewing of coca leaf. In its participation in the 54 th session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs, United Nations, Uruguay, Bolivia supported the intention to amend the article of the Convention which states that coca chewing is an illegal activity. The secretary general of the National Drug Board (JND), Milton Romani said from Vienna that is a thousand years of cultural tradition that does not harm the body. Read Article
