Bolivia: Two buses attacked by gunmen near Peruvian border, one dead, several wounded

Elite troops began yesterday police searched the north of La Paz, Bolivia’s border with Peru, in coordination with authorities and security teams from the neighboring country to come up with the band Sunday docked the two buses in Apollo, according to Government Minister Carlos Romero. The police assumed that the passengers were people carrying gold produced in the region or cocaine from Peru and hopes to “collect evidence, fingerprints and everything that is used to investigate the robbery.” Neither ruled out a terrorist group. The official news agency ABI, referring to the robbery, spoke a band “maybe linked to the Maoist Shining Path.” However, the Interior Minister, Carlos Romero, bowed by the hypothesis of a band of common assaults.
