Bank of America: Despite sale of Banco Santander, BA still maintains strategy in Latin America

Bank of America said today that the sale of its stake in Banco Santander Mexico is not a change of strategy towards Latin America and only in the interest of focusing on its core businesses. “The decision to sell the stake in Grupo Santander was taken primarily by our intention to focus on our business priorities,” said Jerome Dubrowski Efe, U.S. Bank spokesman in New York. In that regard, he recalled that “in recent months Bank of America has released its plans to sell about 9,500 billion in non-strategic assets.” Read Article
