Argentina: Two Dutch cyclists run over by truck, both die

January 8, 2012 – Two Dutch tourists were killed after being hit by a truck while walking a bicycle near the town of San Luis Balde, police said. The incident occurred at 7.50, on the foothills Puntana Highway National Route 7, near this town located about 30 kilometers from the city of San Luis. Commissioner Carlos Pereira told Telam that that route is a tandem bicycle traveling in two Dutch tourists Baarslag Hijlken identified as Helen (48) and Sandra Louise Polderman (45), who were active in cycling.
